You are going to thank us! We have made it easier than ever to build your ideal Bear Takedown Recurve Bow!

Instead of buying the limbs and riser separately, now you can buy the complete Bear Takedown Bow with Bear 90th Anniversary Green Glass Takedown Limbs and your favorite Bear Riser! Choose from the Bear Takedown Riser, Bear Mag Riser, or Eichler Signature Riser.

You can customize your ideal blend of performance, beauty, and Bear quality with your choice of riser and limbs, all at a great price.

Riser:
The Fred Bear Takedown riser: Offered in A and B riser models. They feature the classic 1969 heal horn style grip for a deep feel and consistent grip. The riser features the classic Bear medallion on one side with the famous Bear compass on the other. Choose from wood combinations of Black Maple with a Phenolic Black Stripe, or Bubinga and Phenolic with a Phenolic Black Stripe. The shelf is radiused and cut-on center for instinctive shooting and easier arrow tuning. The shelf is 1/8" above the grip for closer arrow-to-hand trajectory and consistent arrow flight. The riser is tapped with Bear 1/4" x 20 quiver inserts.
Bear Takedown Mag riser: Bear Archery has brought back their classic 1971 Mag Handle riser and cast it in aluminum. This gives you extreme accuracy, extreme strength, and extreme precision. Features an adjustable center shot side plate for precision tuning. The molded low-wrist style grip provides comfort. Tapped with Bear quiver and front stabilizer holes. Choose moss green, stone, or Fred Bear® camo in A Handle or B Handle.
Eichler Signature Series riser: Bear has designed this aluminum takedown riser at 17", giving it just the right size between their popular A and B riser models. The customizable "low," "medium," and "high" shelf radius gives you the flexibility to customize and precision tune your bow to your needs and desires. The riser features a slim, low-wrist grip that helps bring the overall riser weight down. The Eichler Signature riser also comes with an adjustable side plate to adjust center-shot. Tapped with quiver holes, and front/back stabilizer holes. Available in colors of Fred Bear® camo, Buckskin, Hunter Green, Stone, and Mossy Oak® Bottomland.

Limbs: Bear has crafted these beautiful recurve limbs with a green fiberglass back and belly over a maple core. Features a sturdy phenolic butt, and reinforced green tips to handle modern high performance bow strings. These 3Rivers Archery exclusive limbs feature "3RA" in each set's serial number. Available in Bear #1 size limbs only.

String: Fred Bear Takedown D97 Bow String. Designed for high performance bows. You'll enjoy the extra speed a D97 bow string provides, while also benefiting from the silence and easy adjustments of a Flemish twist string. The string is included FREE with your bow.

Available in right or left hand. See dropdown for all available riser options. Limbs are available in #1 model in pull weights of 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55#. Please specify.

Let us set up your bow for you with our 3Rivers Bow Set-up Service

Read about Longbow and Recurve Set-up on our blog.

Choose from a left or right handed bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with), and bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 47½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.

Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
