Arrow weight has a large impact on your shooting. Adding weight to the point end weakens your arrow's spine in-flight, and adding weight to the nock end stiffens arrow spine. Adding arrow weight overall increases your arrow's momentum, which gives better penetration on game. Finding the right balance for your style of shooting will make for better performing arrows overall.
A rule of thumb for arrow weight for a bowhunter is 8 - 10 grains for every pound of pull. So a bow pulling 50# will do best with a 400 - 500 grain arrow (overall weight). Still not sure about how to add weight to your arrows? Be sure to read our blog post How to Use Arrow Weight Systems.
