Celebrate one of Fred Bear's greatest innovations, the Take Down Recurve Bow. The Fred Bear Takedown Bow String is an attractive Flemish twist string with center serving.

This bow string is designed for high performance bows with reinforced limb tips, such as the Fred Bear Takedown Recurve Bow. You'll enjoy the extra speed a D97 bow string provides, while also benefiting from the silence and easy adjustments of a Flemish twist string. Flemish twist also allows for easy installation of string silencers, such as fur silencers.

Note: Order by the AMO, not string length.

NOTE: High Performance string material is not recommended forall bows. Please check with your bow's manufacturer to see if your bow is rated for such bow strings. For older bows or ones you cannot confirm are compatible, we recommend B-55 string material.

Flemish strings are made of several strands of string material twisted upon themselves. It is possible for the area by the string loops to appear to be fraying. This is common and is not damaging to the string. To remove the fraying rub your hand on the strands to lay them down. The wax in the string will hold the strands down, but may appear after some use. You can trim the fraying strands, but this is not recommended. If the wax is not holding the stands down, you can apply some String Makers Wax to the area.
