Procamptek has infused these cotton plugs with a proprietary wax solution. This protective coating goes below the surface to the core, making Fire Plugs ideal tinder for all seasons and all weather conditions.
Fire Plugs are easily ignitable using a flame or spark. Simply twist the plug until the cotton fibers are exposed. A single plug can be used to ignite several fires, if cut into halves or thirds.
Average burn times are up to 5 minutes for a single plug. Each plug is approximately 1-1/4" long, and easy to pack in your camping or survival kits.
