We call these wood arrows "Classic" because they remind us of the classic period of American bowhunting, with Saxton Pope, Art Young, "Chief" Will Compton, and other pioneers of the sport. Attractive as well as accurate, these arrows will serve you as well as they served the early pioneers of archery.
Made using sturdy 11/32" Port Orford Cedar shafts (30-35 and 35-40 spine are 5/16” diameter) that are hand-spined to be matched within 5 pounds and weight matched to 20 grain groups per pack. Each arrow has a special Walnut stain sealed with a durable lacquer finish for longevity and a brilliant look shot after shot. The white cap dip and cresting is done by hand for a "true" custom look and feel.
The 3Rivers Classic wood arrows are then mounted with a white Bohning Classic nock and 3-fletched with 5" shield cut left wing feathers (30-35 and 35-40 spine are fletched with 4" feathers). The two hen feathers are white feathers (only color option) and the cock feather is natural barred.
Available in the following spines: 30-35#, 35-40#, 40-45#, 45-50#, 50-55#, 55-60#, and 60-65#.
Sold by the 6-pack only.
Sold full length at approximately 32" and need to be cut and tapered, then points (or broadheads) mounted to be ready for shooting.
Points or broadheads must be purchased separately.
We offer a straightening service for wood arrows, but these arrows are not hand straightened before they leave the warehouse. Our arrows are hand-spined because we feel that is the key to good arrow flight.
PLEASE NOTE: Any service requested may delay shipment. Items with services applied are non-refundable.
Services Available
Cut and Taper Arrows to Length: Have your wood arrows cut to length and a 5° point taper. The length is measured from the valley (throat) of the nock to the back of the point taper. Minimum length is 26".
Mount Field Points: We install field points on your arrows. Points sold separately. Required the Cut and Taper service first. We use a heat reversible glue to mount points, so they may be changed later if you choose.
