Step up your game with the Hoyt RCRV COMP Recurve Bow, a high-performance setup designed for archers who demand accuracy, consistency, and durability.

Built from Hoyt’s trusted engineering legacy, the RCRV COMP combines a precision-machined 25" aluminum riser with rugged, responsive Grand Prix limbs for a smooth and stable shot cycle every time you take aim.

Riser:  The heart of the RCRV COMP bow is its exceptional 25" riser, crafted from lightweight aluminum for a perfect balance of strength and agility. With a rigid design that minimizes torsion, this riser enhances stability and control, helping you tighten your groups and stay on target under pressure.

Key features include:

  • ILF limb connection for easy compatibility with a wide range of ILF limbs
  • ATA accessory mounts for sights and stabilizers
  • Dual plunger holes for flexible rest and plunger options
  • Three front stabilizer bushings for superior customization
  • Adjustable limb alignment system for precise tuning—no need to unstring
  • Scratch-resistant finish in bold red, blue, or black

Limbs:  A double-layer Rock Maple core, encased in sleek black fiberglass, provides the right balance of flex and strength for consistent performance. These limbs are tuned for affordability without sacrificing the accuracy Hoyt is known for.

String:  20-strand endless loop bowstring crafted from quality BCY material for lasting performance. Nylon-served loops and center ensure durability and abrasion resistance through countless shots.

Available in Right and Left Hand in limb lengths of Short (66" bow), Medium (68" bow), and Long (70" bow) with pull weights of 20 to 36# @ 28" draw (in 2 lb. increments).

Typically with ILF bows the weight will adjust up or down 2# for every 2" of riser length. For example, if a pair of limbs is 40# on a 17" riser, they will be 42# on a 15" riser or 38# on a 19" riser. This is standard for all ILF risers and limbs.

Choose from a left or right handed bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with), and bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 47½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.

Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).

Minimum Arrow Weight - Do not shoot an arrow weighing less than eight grains for every pound of peak draw weight. For example: If your bow's peak weight is 40 pounds at your 30" draw length, do not shoot an arrow weighing less than 320 grains total arrow weight (40# x 8 gpp = 320 grains). Shooting an arrow below eight grains per pound (gpp) can cause damage to your bow similar to dry firing and possible injury to the shooter or others nearby. Damage caused by shooting an arrow that is too light will damage the bow and will not be covered under warranty by 3Rivers Archery or bow manufacturer.
