The moment you pick up the Antaeus riser you can feel the weight, the strength, the stability. It's a riser that inspires confidence and demands respect.

Like the mythical giant for which it was named, the Antaeus (pronounced An-tee-us) is built for unparalleled strength and durability. The heavier weight and 19" length of the riser gives you shot stability for improved accuracy.

Two powerful modern materials have been combined to create this heavyweight wonder: Micarata wrapped in 3K Carbon.

Micarta is a durable resin used in constructing everything from knife handles to propeller blades. It only makes sense that this amazing material is at the very core of the Antaeus riser.

3K Carbon is known as the "workhorse" of carbon fibers, due to its strength and popularity. The outer layer of 3K Carbon also gives the Antaeus ILF riser a unique look.

The Antaeus features a radiused shelf cut past center. Adhesive backed calf hair rest and plate included but not installed.

Includes nylon storage case and hex key adjustment tools. Weighs approximately 2 lb 8 oz. Available in right hand only.

Typically with ILF bows the weight will adjust up or down 2# for every 2" of riser length. For example, if a pair of limbs is 40# on a 17" riser, they will be 42# on a 15" riser or 38# on a 19" riser. This is standard for all ILF risers and limbs.

Read about Longbow and Recurve Set-up on our blog.

Choose from a left or right handed bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with), and bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 47½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.

Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
