Built for the shot that only comes once.
The Adam Archery ILF Takedown Recurve Bow combines a rugged CNC-machined aluminum riser with lightning-fast 3K carbon limbs to deliver a platform that’s stable in the hand, smooth on the draw, and brutally efficient on the shot. This complete ILF system gives you modern performance with classic recurve feel—ready for the range, the woods, or wherever your arrows fly.
Performance Overview: Engineered for speed, consistency, and real-world durability, this bow marries the vibration-dampening stability of a precision aluminum riser with the all-weather resilience of foam-core carbon limbs. The increased recurve limb profile improves energy storage and return, giving you a smooth draw cycle and crisp cast shot after shot.
Takedown System: ILF (International Limb Fitting) for maximum limb compatibility and easy alignment. Standard ILF limb bolts included. Limb bolt adjustment allows custom tillering and draw weight reduction of approximately 1–2 lbs per full turn.
ILF Boot Alignment System: Integrated 4mm set screws allow for limb alignment adjustments while the bow is strung, with up to 2° of lateral limb angle adjustment in either direction. A built-in center indicator on the ILF boot helps ensure precise, repeatable setup during tuning.
Riser: CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum. This is an extremely strong aluminum and very light. All riser lengths weigh less than 2 lbs.
Hard-anodized finish for long-term durability and scratch resistance. Ergonomic medium wood grip adds warmth and control to a modern metal riser. Radiused, cut-past-center shelf, with adjustable arrow side plate for center-shot tuning. Compatible with elevated rests or traditional setups. Features a 5/16-24 stabilizer bushing, threaded 10-24 sight mounting holes, and quiver adapters for bow-mounted quiver use. Adjustable arrow side plate includes a 1mm spacer system for precise center shot tuning based on arrow shaft diameter.
Limbs: Dual-layer foam core for durability, consistency, and all-weather reliability. Six layers of lightweight 3K carbon for superior stiffness and energy return. Red foam backing helps dampen vibration for noticeably quieter shooting. Increased recurve profile for improved speed and performance. Reinforced limb tips compatible with modern high-performance bowstrings.
String: Adam Archery red & black D97 Flemish Twist bow string.
Brace Height: 7-1/2" to 8-1/2".

Choose from a left or right handed bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with), and bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 47½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.
Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
Minimum Arrow Weight - Do not shoot an arrow weighing less than eight grains for every pound of peak draw weight. For example: If your bow's peak weight is 40 pounds at your 30" draw length, do not shoot an arrow weighing less than 320 grains total arrow weight (40# x 8 gpp = 320 grains). Shooting an arrow below eight grains per pound (gpp) can cause damage to your bow similar to dry firing and possible injury to the shooter or others nearby. Damage caused by shooting an arrow that is too light will damage the bow and will not be covered under warranty by 3Rivers Archery or bow manufacturer.
