What is the difference between a main blade and a bleeder blade? The main blades on a broadhead create the primary cutting path and are responsible for most of the penetration and tissue cutting. Bleeder blades are smaller secondary blades that add additional cutting edges and increase the overall wound channel. Together,the two blade types help balance penetration, cutting performance, and blood-trail potential.
