Old Ironsides and its powerful cannons were the scourge of the British Navy during the War of 1812. The mighty vessel defeated or captured 8 British ships during the war, and ran the British blockade of Boston twice!
Now you can own a piece of American history with this stunning scale model kit.
The cannon comes unassembled in a kit that you put together. Features hardwood carriage pieces and a 9" smoothbore barrel.
The barrel accepts .50 caliber round balls
It's a great project for families, history buffs, or black powder enthusiasts. This is your chance to actually build your very own piece of history!
To assemble this kit you will need the following tools: flathead screwdriver; adjustable wrench; mallet and wooden block; 180, 240, and 400 grit sandpaper; Emory cloth; 000 steel wool; Traditions Liquid Blue; wood finishing kit; rubber gloves; safety glasses; cordless drill with #54 and #40 drill bits. Note, these tools are NOT included.

The fully assembled cannon measures 11-1/2" long x 4" high. The wheel diameter is 2-1/4". Weighs approximately 4 pounds.
To fire the fully assembled cannon, you will need a bullet starter, and .50 caliber round balls (sold separately). You will also need a cannon fuse, black powder, and an ignition source (not included).
Caution: This is a working piece of artillery, not a toy! Treat it as you would any dangerous weapon.
