Why do some traditional archers shoot 3-under instead of split finger? Shooting 3-under places all three fingers below the arrow, which brings the arrow closer to the eye and can make aiming easier at shorter and medium distances. Many instinctive shooters, barebow archers, and hunters prefer this style because it provides a consistent anchor point and can simplify gap shooting and string walking techniques.
