This equipment helps you locate the stiff spine of the shaft allowing you to align the spine in any preference you want. This gives you more shot-to-shot consistency between arrows. For traditional archers, it is typically aligned with the cock feather and/or broadheads.
The roller bearings also allow you to check arrow squareness, broadhead spin, and runout. This is mainly for carbon arrows.
