Does a wider armguard provide more protection? Yes. Wider armguards offer increased coverage of the forearm, which can be especially helpful when shooting heavier bows, wearing bulky clothing, or refining your form. Many traditional archers appreciate the added protection and confidence that comes from having more of the bow arm shielded from accidental string contact.
