Adhesive backed allows you to attach the strop to your work bench, a block of wood, or any convenient surface. The leather strop is perfect for the finishing touches of sharpening by taking off the metal burr left by files and hones for a shaving sharp edge. Measures 6" long x 2" wide.
Tip: Remember to always drag away from the cutting edge when working your blades on the strop.

Why should a strop be mounted to a flat surface? A flat, stable mounting surface can make stropping more consistent and easier to control. Mounting a strop to a workbench, block of wood, or other rigid surface helps prevent movement during use and provides a firm foundation for refining an edge.
