Like its namesake the Rio Bravo river, the Rio-Bravo B-Model takedown recurve bow is beautiful in a wild way. Grain patterns galore, as only Great Plains can do it! No two bows will look alike.

The B-Model takedown recurve is designed with an arched beam in the handle and an arched grip section for positive hand placement shot after shot and a real "point-and-shoot shooting experience." The riser of this bow is 19" long with a relieved radius shelf and rolled back window which gives the archer perfect arrow clearance and flight. A true "work of art."

Each Great Plains bow is handcrafted to the highest of standards. From the selection of woods, to the last coat of finish, each step is done with the greatest of care. Expect the best in performance, smoothness of draw, and stability. Each is hand tuned and tested as it is being built so it will perform perfectly for you. Every Great Plains bow comes with a 18 month limited warranty.

Riser: Radiused, cut 3/16" past center shelf with a medium grip. 19" long with a relieved radius shelf and rolled back window which gives the archer perfect arrow clearance and flight. Combination of Zebra Wood and Pau Ferro. Arrow rest and plate included. Inlaid antique brass Great Plains emblem.
Limbs: Bacote surrounded by clear fiberglass, and accented with Pau Amarillo. Phenolic reinforced tips. Limb bolt and pin attachment.
String: Fast Flight® 18 strand bow string. Manufacturer recommended brace height: 8" - 8½". Replacement string length of 56" recommended.

Bow case and stringer included.

Available in Right or Left hand in 35#, 40#, 45#, 50#, 55#, 60#, and 65#. Please specify.

Please Note: This is a special order item - not in-stock. It is a custom order bow built when you put in your order. If the particular weight bow you want shows as "Not in-stock" in the drop-down menu, expect approximately 6 to 10 weeks for delivery.

Choose from a left or right hand bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with), and bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 48½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.

A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
