Originally created with barebow shooters in mind, it quickly earned praise among Olympic archers as well—particularly field shooters looking for a more secure feel when steeper grip angles can become slippery in changing weather conditions.

A defined edge helps guide your hand into position instantly, making it easy to establish consistent placement without taking your eyes off the target. The textured surface enhances grip security and promotes a positive, no-slip feel for improved control and repeatability shot after shot.

A 33° grip is generally considered a little more neutral and relaxed. It allows for a slightly lower wrist position and often feels more natural to shooters coming from traditional recurves or flatter grips. Advantages include:

  • More relaxed wrist angle
  • Can reduce wrist fatigue during long sessions
  • Often feels steadier for shooters who prefer a “deeper” hand position
  • Tends to be more forgiving for archers who struggle with torque

A 38° grip offers a higher wrist position. High-wrist grips tend to encourage cleaner pressure distribution through the pivot point of the grip, which can improve consistency for many shooters. Advantages include:

  • Often produces cleaner bow reaction after release
