Perfect for big game hunters, the Vanguard is a classic fixed blade hunting knife made in the USA. The comfort and security provided by the contoured Heritage Walnut DymaLux® handle and safety guard makes field dressing a snap.
The top of the blade tapers toward the tip (also known as a "drop point"), meaning less chance of punctures while skinning your game. The drop point also delivers strength and versatility.
The 420HC steel has close to the same durability of high carbon alloys, while also providing corrosion resistance equal to chromium stainless steel. Ordinarily you have to sacrifice durability for corrosion resistance, or vice versa. But 420HC steel brings you the best of both worlds.
Buck Knives also uses an exclusive heat treating process to give the Vanguard 192 extra "backbone" and a supercharged Rockwell hardness of Rc58. Even with all that unbelievable impenetrability, the Vanguard is easy to resharpen, retaining an excellent, razor edge.
Buck Knives includes a quality leather sheath with snap closure and belt loop, making the Vanguard 192 a constant and dependable "hunting buddy."
All Buck Knives come with a Forever Warranty. They are warrantied to be free of defects in material or workmanship. Buck Knives will repair or replace any defective Buck Knife at their option. The Buck Knives warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, or product modifications. Any attempt to use a Buck Knife in any fashion other than its normal, intended use will void the warranty.
