“Fred Bear: Father of Bowhunting,” won a sportsman Choice award Jan. 21 for Best Special Program Show.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

NEW BERLIN, WI (January 22, 2015)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Sportsman Channel revealed its\u00a02014 Sportsman Choice Awards <\/strong>winners at the network\u2019s viewer choice awards event Wed., Jan. 21. The winners were announced during Sportsman Channel\u2019s annual awards presentation at Rain Nightclub in the Palms Hotel Casino Resort during the\u00a0Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show<\/strong>\u00a0in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

The collective voice of American sportsmen and women from coast to coast was heard as\u00a0more than 293,000<\/strong>\u00a0votes were cast in\u00a011<\/strong>\u00a0different categories, setting an all-time record for Sportsman Choice Award viewer voting.<\/p>\n

\u201c2014 was a significant year for the network\u2019s growth and its exceptional producers,\u201d said\u00a0Marc Fein, executive vice president of programming and production<\/strong>. \u201cThere was a good mix of first-time and returning winners and that really speaks to the depth of our talent and where the network is heading. All of the winners and finalists should be proud of their accomplishments.\u201d<\/p>\n
