The other day James, one of our traditional archery technical experts, came up to me to show me his newly crested arrow. They\u2019re pretty sweet, if I do say so myself, and after James told me how easy it was I decided to write a short “how to” post about it.<\/p>\n

The short and sweet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After appling carbon\/aluminum prep<\/a>\u00a0put your arrow on a crester<\/a>\u00a0then, using a cresting brush<\/a>, lay down your cresting paint<\/a>. James put his cresting on a cap wrap<\/a>, so he didn\u2019t need to worry about using primer<\/a>. He finished with a clear<\/a> coat to keep his work looking great for a long, long time.<\/p>\n

It sounds too easy, but it really is that simple. As long as you can hold your hand steady, with the appropriate tools just about anyone can crest an arrow \u2013 and make it look awesome.<\/p>\n
