Flowing through northern Michigan with quiet persistence, the north branch of the AuSable River helped shape both the landscape and the archery legacy of Fred Bear.

The Bear North Branch Longbow carries that same sense of balance and intention, blending timeless longbow aesthetics with modern reflex/deflex performance. It’s a bow built for shooters who value smoothness, control, and the kind of confidence that comes from tradition done right.

The 62" North Branch delivers smooth draw characteristics, excellent stability, and forgiving accuracy. Its reflex/deflex narrow limb design provides efficient energy transfer without sacrificing the calm, composed shooting experience traditional longbow shooters crave. This is a bow that rewards clean form and steady rhythm, especially at longer draw lengths.

Riser: Crafted from Bolivian Rosewood and Hardrock Maple, the riser features a sleek, low-wrist thin grip that promotes consistent hand placement and a natural point-of-aim. The shelf is cut to center and fully radiused for improved arrow flight and versatility across arrow setups. Bear’s classic Bear Hair Rest and leather strike plate come installed.

Limbs: Black fiberglass limbs are paired with reinforced limb tips for added durability and smooth power delivery. The narrow limb profile enhances speed and efficiency while maintaining the quiet, dead-in-the-hand feel longbow shooters appreciate. Built to handle today's low-stretch, high-performance string materials.

String: The North Branch comes ready to shoot with Bear Archery’s Silent Shot string
