As the last smoothbore musket issued by the U.S. military and the first to feature a percussion lock, the 1842 Springfield holds a significant place in American firearms history.

This .69 caliber percussion model features a 42" smoothbore barrel, single trigger, and comes unfinished "in the white" for both the barrel and hardware, allowing you to finish it to your personal or historically accurate preference. 

The high-quality stock is hand-oiled for a premium look and feel, ready for final sanding and finishing.
