The Step-by-step guide to making the English Medieval and Tudor Arrow in this two Disc presentation. Master Arrow smith Mark Stretton takes us behind the scenes at the Mary Rose Trust to give a unique insight into the arrows of the Tudor age.

Using this data Master Fletcher Mick Manns then reconstructs these arrows using period tools and techniques. Mick is very in-depth and presents the steps in great detail to allow you to easily reproduce his methods at home.

For those with a modern workshop, Master Bowyer Steve Stratton gives detailed instruction in using modern tools and techniques to reproduce accurate replicas. Disc 1 ends with Mark Stretton test shooting a Mary Rose reproduction arrow and an exact replica of the arrow found at Westminster Abbey.

From wood selection and profiling the shaft, to feather selection, shaping and binding the fletch and finally fitting the head... it's all covered here in intricate detail on disc 1 with a run time of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Disc 2 contains detailed sections on spliced and cone footings, alternative methods, cresting, arrow specification sheets, and trailers of other DVDs in the Longbow Series. Disc two has a total run time of about 1 hour.
