Under the great Genghis Kahn the Mongol Empire became the largest contiguous empire the world has ever known. And a big part of Kahn's success was the Mongolian Horse Bow.

This Mongolian Bow recreates the power and majesty of the Kahn's epic reign in history. It is 65" from tip to tip, and is fit with siyahs (stiffened tips) and a leather handle wrap. The Mongolian Bow has no arrow shelf, making it suitable for Right or Left Handed shooters. It is recommended that you use a Bow Glove (not included.) Although set for a standard 28" draw length, the Mongolian Bow can be safely drawn to 31".

These self bows are made from solid white sapwood hickory, a very sturdy and reliable wood.

The Mongolian Bow is available in pull weights of 40-45#, 45-50#, or 50-55# @ a 28" draw. Please specify.

Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 47½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.

A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. It is recommended to unstring your primitive bow when you are done shooting, and only string it right before shooting. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
