The Mocking Jay Youth Longbow is an outstanding way to satisfy your hunger for archery! The Mocking Jay is a durable primitive bow made from Palm Tree Wood with a dark stained finish. It has an attractive leather (color varies) wrap-around grip for shooting comfort. Plus it features an arrow shelf on each side, making it suitable for right or left handed archers.
The Mocking Jay is 58" long with a 20- 25# draw weight at 28". Perfect for target shooting! Bow string included. The Mocking Jay youth bow is a great bow for ages 10 through teens, or for adults up to 5' 10" with a 28" draw length.
NOTE: The stitching of the grip is the "back" of the bow. The part that faces away from the archer. The written information of length and poundage are on the "belly" of the bow, the side closest to the archer.

Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2 pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 25# @ 28" bow is roughly a 22½# @ 27" or 28½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.
Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
