You've just found the secret to staying warm in all weather. Woolpower merino wool undergarments are the best way to keep warm in the cold.
The 200 series sweaters make an excellent first layer and include with a zippered turtle neck for both added warmth and ventilation. All our Woolpower sweaters have extra long backs to cover the kidneys. (Another secret for staying warm!)
The non-itch Merino Wool Terry Cloth products are designed to keep you warm in cold, even wet conditions. They've been field tested worldwide for over 10 years and we have tried them too! This is the best wool undergarment line we have ever seen. The secret is a combination of Merino Wool and polyamide in a unique "terrycloth" knitting method which gives the product higher insulating values and better moisture control than other wool products.
For best results wear them next to the skin. They do not itch and are so shrink resistant that you can even machine wash them in warm or hot water, and dry them in your home dryer. (As long as they don't go over 140 degrees.)
Unlike poly-pro type garments, this wool stays odor free much longer and it's very fire resistant.
