Douglas Fir is a great combination of the sturdiness of hardwoods (without the extreme heavyweight) and the workability of softwoods. These wood shafts are high quality straight grained Douglas Fir from the Western Coast of the United States. Normally heavier and stronger than Port Orford Cedar. Easy to hand straighten and remain straight. Have a smooth burnished finish. Fir is heavier on the average than Port Orford Cedar and slightly stronger too, yet very easy to hand straighten and remain straight. It is a very nice compromise between the sturdiness of hardwoods and workability of softwoods, but without the extremely heavy weights of hardwoods. This combination makes a great moderately heavy hunting shaft with excellent durability and straightness. All shafts are available in 11/32" diameter, hand spine matched to 5 pound groups and 32" long uncut. Sold by the dozens only.

Available in the following spines: LIMITED QUANTITIES
