This Heavyweight Bamboo Backed English Warbow is made to English Longbow Society standards of 8:5 thickness to width ratio. Heavy duty Hickory belly and composite Bamboo backing. These Heavy weight English style War bows pack a smooth, but HEAVY punch. They shoot as good as they look!
This Warbow has a standard length of 76". At this length the Warbow gives extra leverage for the archer and aids in drawing heavy draw weights back to full draw. Features dual strike plates for shooting right of left handed off-the-knuckle." Vinyl leather grip installed. Includes bow string and stringer. Perfect bow weights for time period correct reenactments or for English longbow organizational flight shoots.

Please note, the pull weights on the Heavy Weight Bamboo Backed Warbow are measured differently than with standard bows. The bow pulls 90-100 pounds at 32" (will pull roughly 80-90 @ 28", or 100 plus at 33"). The bow pulls 100-110 pounds at 32" (will pull roughly 90-100 @ 28", or 110 plus at 33"). The bow pulls 110-120 pounds at 32" (will pull roughly 100-110 @ 28" or 120+ at 33").

A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. It is recommended to unstring your primitive bow when you are done shooting, and only string it right before shooting. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
