These premium bamboo backed, floor tillered, hickory bow blanks are for making your own longbows. Designed like those seen in Hunting the Bamboo Backed Bow,the limbs carry a nice deflex and reflex and have plenty of material left in the grip area. All the thinning, planing, and toothing of the bamboo is already done. The hickory and bamboo are glued up, floor tillered, and the sight window and arrow shelf are roughed in. You finish the tillering process, grip, sight window, final sanding and finish, and you're done. These bamboo backed hickory staves can make great hunting bows and target bows, from as light as you care to go to about 70# max. Available in right and left hand, please specify. Approx. 68"-72" tip to tip.
Note: Tillering deflex-reflex bows is more tricky than the straight bows, these are for the more advanced bowyer.
