A bowfishing bow designed exclusively for the younger bowfisher. Simple no-tool takedown design features an ambidextrous riser (shoot right or left handed) constructed from rugged, worry-free composite. Features the exclusive Arrow Hook™ rest to hold the arrow for both right and left handed shooters.
The Heron 2 Bowfishing kit comes ready to fish (RTF) and includes a Bohning Mudcat fish reel, fish line, and an exclusive youth bowfishing arrow. Bow measures 52" AMO length with a 28# bow weight at a 28" draw length. Arrow is 28" long (valley of nock to back of point). Features AMS safety slide and friction-fit Easton G-nock. Arrow shaft is 1/4" solid fiberglass for durability and lighter weight than other fish arrows on the market. Limbs are imported, rest is made in the USA.
Bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2 pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 28# @ 28" bow is roughly a 26# @ 27" or 30# @ 29".
Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).
