It’s Wednesday and it’s raining outside – it has been for a couple of days. If you’re like me, this means you’re starting to get antsy and you’re ready to start shooting your bow again. To help tide you over, here are some photos of archery artwork – proving that one can enjoy the beauty of archery without leaving their computer (at least temporarily).

 

Entitled Avião, this was developed by Havana-based creative collective Los Carpinteros (The Carpenters). The duo, consists of Marco Castillo and Dagoberto Rodriguez. Castillo says,

Artemis is a young warrior in this depiction. With bow flexed, she is ready to place her aim accurately and with precision. This Goddess, whole unto herself, was the consort to many forest animals. Her hair blows in the wind under a scarf like headdress in this artwork.
