Make quality self nock arrows with the Bearpaw Self Nock Jig.

This is a very handy tool for arrow builders who want to put a self nock on their own primitive arrows and Medieval arrows. It fits wood arrow shafts 5/16", 11/32", and 23/64" diameters. That's one device for all conventional wood shaft sizes!

Simply place the untapered nock end of your shaft in the tool, tighten it, and use a hacksaw or sanding cord to cut using the guides. Remember to cut cross the grain (forming a +) for a safer self nock.

The deeper cut is for the reinforcement insert (normally a piece of horn) and that is cut with the grain. The reinforcement insert is an optional cut, but if you do not do it, we highly recommend you wrap the base of your self nock with sinew to reinforcement. You can cut up to 1" for the reinforcement, and ½" for the nock slot. The width of the guides is 1/8" (or .125").

The Bearpaw Self Nock Jig (AKA Self Nocker Plus) automatically centers for a precise self nock. The steel collet holds the shaft securely in the tool.

We recommend using our horn block or sinew wrap for reinforcement.

Weighs approximately 4.8 ounces. Aluminum construction with a spring steel collet. Made in Germany. Instructions are not included.
