Bear Archery has put a new look on 45 years of same design and craftsmanship. One of the smoothest and finest shooting bows due to its longer length. Fred Bear used this model bow for many years on quests for African lion, cape buffalo, Alaskan polar bear and the British Columbia grizzly bear. Semi-gloss finish really shows off the beauty of this bow.Riser : Radiused, cut-on center shelf. 3-piece construction of exotic Bubinga. Rest and plate included. Tapped with 1/4" x 20 quiver inserts. Inlaid Bear medallion.Limbs : Clear Maple core lamination with high strength "Grayling Green" fiberglass on the back and belly. Bow tips are handcrafted with layered green and white fiberglass allowing the use of today's modern bow strings.String : DynaFlight 97 Flemish twist bow string. Manufacturer recommended brace height: 8" - 9". Replacement string length of 56" (for 60" AMO) or 60" (for 64"AMO). Available in 60" or 64" AMO bow length. Right hand available in 35#, 40#, 45#, 50#, 55#, and 60#. Left hand in 35#, 40#, 45#, 50#, and 55#. Please specify. Choose from a left or right hand bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with), and bow weight at a 28" draw length. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 48½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow).3RIVERS SERVICE: Bow Set-up Click here for Bear Archery Traditional Bow Owner's Manual Read about Longbow & Recurve Set-up
