  • Q:

Will the 2317's work with a 200gr broadhead/field-point shooting out of a Blackwidow PMA 64" 67# @30"? After inputting the information into the spine calculator it is showing that this set-up will be too weak. What do guys recommend for this set-up?

  • Q:

I recently purchased a dozen of these arrows and they fly great. However, I split one of the nocks and bushings through a direct hit. Does 3 Rivers sell the bushings used with this arrow or does one need to purchase the uni-bushing sold by 3 Rivers. Are the bushings used on the gamegetter comparable to the uni-bushing?

  • Q:

What adhesive is used in fletching these arrows? The dozen I purchased last year have held up great and I want to start fletching my own aluminums over cap wraps. Fletch tape or glue? Brand?

All of our Carbon and Alloy prefletched arrows use Bohning Fletch Tite Platinum and a cap wrap.

  • Q:

HI I have Easton Blues 1916 XX75 Arrows , 28 inches. What can I buy here that is comparable. I see you have Easton Gamegetter® XX75 Aluminum Arrows, but I don't know what to put for size in the first drop down menu; 500 = 2016, 400 = 2117, 340 = 2315, and 300 = 2317. I don't know which to pick, could you tell me which I should pick?

      A:

For the most comparable arrow you will need either the Legacy arrows or the XX75 camo hunters in the 1916 size. In the Gamegetters the closest arrow will be the 500 (2016) which will be a lot stiffer than what you have.

The 2016s or 500s will be the closest to your arrow weight but they may be too heavy for your bow. Can you supply your bow weight? That will make it easier to assist you.

  • Q:

With a 50# Samick recurve, what spine and shaft length would be suitable with a 28 inch draw?
Asked on 1/18/2013 by Leonidas from Sparta

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

      With a 125 or 145 grain point I would recommend a 400 spine cut to 29".

  • Q:

I am new to archery and am investing in a 30 or 35# Samick Sage. I am a 5'6" above average strength woman who will (hopefully) take to archery pretty quickly. I have a 26" draw length and will use my bow for target and someday field archery. Is this an appropriate arrow? If so, what size do you recommend? Thank you!

If it was me I would try the 1816 with a 145 or 160 grain tip, cut at about
28 inches but you should look at the 3Rivers spine/arrow chart on their
site. There is also advice on how to measure your draw length, arrow length
and how to use the chart. I've used these arrows for target shooting and so
far find them pretty durable and the fletching holds up to a lot of abuse
without falling off. They come with threaded tip so you can attach broad
heads for field archery. Good luck! Read lots and watch lots of archery
      vids.

The Easton Gamegetter XX75 Aluminum arrows would be a great fit for that bow. I would have the arrows cut to 29" with a 125grain point in the 500 spine. It might be best to get a field point test kit to see if the arrows fly better with a different point weight, but my recommendation should work very well as a starting point.
