  • Q:

The description lists these as left winged. Are they available with the fletch right winged?

      A:

All of our prefletched arrows use left wing feathers. The only way to get them fletched with right wing feathers is to have the arrows custom fletched.

      A:

Hi, I believe they are only available in 3 fletch left wing if you just
order them from the arrow section on 3rivers website. If you go to the
arrow whiz section though you can have them custom ordered and made to have
specific cap wraps and different fletching on them, in your case right wing
feathers. Hope this helps, if not call 3rivers they are very helpful.

  • Q:

I just purchased a set of carbon express 90 at 28" with the intent of using a sage recurve at 40 pds. I ended up replacing the 40 with a 50 recurve. Would these arrows still be appropriate or at least workable with a 50 pound?

Probably okay, 150s would be better I think.

      A:

Yes, you should still be able to use them. I recommend that you get a field point test kit to make sure that you get the best flight possible off of the 50# bow.

  • Q:

I noticed that these don't come with the inserts installed, what all items do I need to do so? Any tools or just some glue?
    Asked on 8/12/2012 by anon

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

You will just need the glue to mount the inserts. We recommend that you use some form of two part epoxy with at least an hour of cure time to make sure that you get the best bond possible.

Have never used Arrow builder. Installed my own. If you brush your teeth you can do your own installation of inserts. Also gives you go understanding of your own arrows, a good archer.

probably the 150 with an 85 grain point possibly a 100 point. you can try both and see which is better. if you go with the stiffer 250 you will need a 125 to 150 grain point. i would use the 150 though.

  • Q:

I shot my recurve for the first time last week. The arrows seem to be doing well. I have a Martin Hunter 60#. I am using the 350's with a 50 grain insert and 200 grain field points. Being that I am not that good of a shot as a beginner, does this seem like a good setup? The arrows appear to be traveling straight and it feels great shooting it, no vibration very smooth. I think my groups are improving, just tough to be consistent. I bought a dozen and I am going to probably buy a dozen more if this is a decent setup.

      A:

That is a good set up to start shooting. You will eventually want to tune the arrows to your bow, but that will be difficult to do until you have your form down pat. I would recommend shooting those arrows until your groups get down to around 6". At that point you should be able to tune the bow and the arrows and improve your results even further.
