I pulled an A riser of each wood from the shelf. The Dymondwood weighed 1.80 pounds and the Bubinga weighed 1.50 pounds.

Can the Risers be ordered with out the red stripe or comapss?

      A:

You would have to contact our customer service about custom ordering. The amount of changes you are looking for Bear might not be willing to do it. We would have to call them to ask. First we would need to get an order placed though.

  • Q:

    Good evening,
Excuse me for my question. I've got a 28 1/2 draw and I would to know if I could use a A riser whit #1 limbs (total 56")..?
Or if I should use #3 limbs (total 60")...?
I love the short riser (A riser) and short bow.
What's the maximum draw which a short bow (56") ?
    Thank you very much..!
    Asked on 2/20/2012 by Anonymous

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

It will be personal preference on which bow you will want yo go with. I would recommend to go with the #3 limbs for a smoother draw and less finger pinch. For a 56'' bow I would not recommend more than a 28'' draw for the same reasons.

  • Q:

What is fascor made of, and how does it compare to bamboo core limbs?
Asked on 8/22/2011 by Anonymous from CApe Town, South Africa

    2 answers

    • A:

Fascor is basically laminated maple impregnated with resin. I don't know how it compares to bamboo - I suspect that the wood choice in most any glass-laminated recurve bow has a minimal impact to the bow's performance, as the majority of the stress is in the outer glass laminations.

Fascor is a secret from Bear .Bamboo is known to have a faster spring to it

  • Q:

What is the weight of this bow (as in overall weight, not draw weight)
Asked on 8/22/2011 by Anonymous from Cape Town, South Africa

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

I measured the limbs both at 35#. The #1's weighed .95 lbs and the #3's weighed .85 lbs. The B riser was 2.25 lbs. I do not have an A riser in stock, but based on the weight of the B riser I would estimate it at 1.85 lbs.

  • Q:

what string length is needed if i choose the B riser ?
    Asked on 8/16/2011 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

That will depend on the limbs. With the #1 limbs you will need a 56" string. The #3 limbs will require a 60" string.
