I'm utterly smitten! The Predator Classic is, without a doubt, the best bow I've ever shot! It's accurate, extremely solid and beautifully made. I've spent as much time staring at it as I have shooting it.

I have the extreme misfortune of being saddled with a thirty-and-one-half-inch draw length. This usually involves certain liabilities. Most notably, I experience stacking with ALL BOWS!

When a manufacturer claims, "No Stacking!" I automatically think, "Meh. Maybe this bow will only stack a little bit!"

The Predator DOES! NOT! STACK! Period-- Amen! I've never shot anything like it.

At first, as I was sending the first coupla dozen arrow home, I thought the Predator was very nice but maybe not any better than my other bows. But as I began to commit to looking at the bow honestly, all the nuances began to emerge.

The most important aspect of the way this bow shoots is its accuracy. With my other takedown, my groups at 15 yards were usually about six to eight inches across. With the Predator, I'm consistently rattling arrows with almost every shot! I'm in love!

I could go on and on, but you should get the point by now.

Thank you, Hunter's Niche! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Next bow I buy I'll talk directly with the bowyer before it's made, after it's made and before it's sent. And it won't be a predator.

        Comments about Predator™ Takedown Recurve:

I have a #55 Classic Predator, and I have to say it's the smoothest drawing recurve I've ever shot. It feels more like I'm drawing a #50 bow! Very easy to tune, throws a heavy arrow with authority puts 'em exactly where you aim. I'm sold on these excellent bows.

            Comments about Predator™ Takedown Recurve:

Just got my Predator Hunter DX this past weekend. Only had time to shoot about 30 arrows, but I was very impressed with the few arrows I shot. I shoot instinctive (even my compound, which I don't really care for), and have been shooting for about a year and a half. I consider this to be my first serious trad bow since getting my Samick Sage as my first bow. So here's my first impressions, and I have only my Sage to compare it to.

The Predator is 51# at 28", so I'm pulling about 56-57#(est.) at 30", and it pulls about as easy as my Sage at about 50# full draw. Definitely more zip & consistency on the arrow flight. I'm not one of those guys knocking arrows out to 30 yd, but I'm happy if I can get 4-5 out of 6 on a 8" paper plate out to 20 yd. Didn't expect a whole lot with my new bow & first time use, but was getting some to knock, and was definitely impressed with the grouping for my first experience. I shot from 20 yd. on my last round, and aimed at a small orange spec as a focal point. Two of the six arrows knocked right on the spec, and the rest were in w/in about a 10" plate, so I'm very happy with my initial results.

I do like how the shelf basically sits on the hand and feel it adds to the accuracy, though my fletching did draw some blood, but I don't mind for the improved feel & accuracy. Guess I could build the rest up, or toughen up...haven't decided yet. It's heftier than the Sage, and feels rock solid in the hand with no hand shock at at all. I'm sure the heft and the bending point of the limbs being further back on the bow hand also help reduce torque.

I actually spoke to Ron (bowyer) earlier in the week. Told him I was looking for a solid performer, and that I wasn't into having the prettiest bow since it will be used for hunting & 3D. He suggested the DX, and also recommended the 62" limbs for my draw length. Said to just let him know if I have any concerns. Real cool guy. I'm entering a 3D fun shoot in 2 weeks. I just want to have fun, but it would be nice shoot well too, and I'm sure this bow will let me do both.

            Service and delivery comments:

Ordered on 4/30 & arrived on 5/4. Process and delivery time was 4 days to Hawaii, and it arrived in great condition. Was a little scared when I saw the box a little dented, but everything was ok.

            3Rivers never let's me down.

this bow is remarkable. I would have to say this bow is a notch better than a black widow. and I own two widows. very very fast bow. smooth as silk. looks like a normal street car but has a 1000 horsepower behind it. hunters niche has a geat thing going on with their engineering ability with this bow. if u like widows u cant beat the price and performance. if ur thinking abojt buying a widow shoot this bow first.

                Comments about Predator™ Takedown Recurve:

I have owned a few different recurve bows over the years and I have not yet found the equal to this bow. Yes, there are outstanding bows made by other companies, but the Predator Hunter is just an amazing bow, especially at this price point. A smooth, durable riser that is balanced and has just enough beef to be tough and substantive while not being too heavy. The limbs are powerful and very well made. It is an amazing shooter, smooth and just does not stack. I have shot bows of less poundage that are harder to shoot than the Predator. I purchased one for my son and was so impressed that I got one for myself. I would purchase another in a heartbeat! Really looking forward to getting it into the field for hunting.

                  Comments about Predator™ Takedown Recurve:

This bow is great. Got it as a gift, so I didn't have to wait another year to buy it. It is so smooth when drawing back compared to other recurves and longbows with a similar draw weight. It shoots fast and straight. I am more confident in this bow than any other I've had so far. Great bow. I love the steathy appearance of the hunter. Love this bow!

                      Comments about Predator™ Takedown Recurve:

Speaking from a beginners perspective, this is a very easy bow to use. I'm not using a sight and I can tell if I'm on target or not quite easily. The draw is really smooth and doesn't feel like a 50# bow but it sends arrows out at a nice pace. Overall this is a very low maintenance bow with an easy draw, high quality workmanship and a sexy look. The only thing to do is replace the arrow rest/plate with something decent (mine wore out in less than a fortnight).

                      Service and delivery comments:

Delivery time was very satisfactory. Unfortunately the riser was damaged in transit, but a couple helpful emails from 3Rivers and two weeks later my replacement riser arrived. Very happy with the bow and the prompt and professional service from the fellas at 3Rivers.
