Conner Parry took this nice Mule Deer in the great state of Utah. Conner tells us: "I took the buck through both shoulders and got total penetration. I found the arrow stuck under a rock 20 yards beyond the deer."

Here's Patrick Meitin of Petersen's Bowhunting with a New Mexico mule deer. We'll let Patrick tell the story in his own words: "Discovered this buck bedded down in a desert bench mesquite thicket during January late season. A long, stocking-feet stalk resulted in 45-yard first and 50-yard insurance finishing shots. Buck was very old, battle and cougar-scarred, one eye with cataract, drawn down to skin and bones."

2006

Patrick Meitin tells us: "I spotted this buck a couple of weeks before late January Archery Season opener, keeping an eye on him on nearly a daily basis. I hunted him carefully five days before getting a shot, 42 yards, walking. He spun to the shot and appeared to be hit back, but after leaving him alone a few hours I found him stiff dead."
