I have wanted this set for a long time. It was a eye opener to see how these archers of the past did it the hard way. I was amazed at the spartan camp sites and low tech approach to the hunts. We can all learn from these pioneers of the past and enjoy the hunt as much as the harvest. This is a history lesson we all need to see.

Got this set because I am trying to get back into traditional archery. Watching Bear and his hunts was very informative. The sections on the history of the bow, how advancements were made, the starting of Bear Archery, and how they make a bow from start to finish in itself was worth the cost of the set. To see Bear on the different hunts was just icing on the cake. Think that anyone that likes traditional archery would like this DVD set.

The Fred Bear videos are great.On some episodes Fred Bear does a imformational production such as:
History of archery,building a Kodiak Magnum and ect.. The videos include hunting: Grizzly Bear,Polar Bear, Mule deer,Moose,and Elk.Sometimes Fred really,does some amazing shooting.And some areas where he hunts are quite Beautiful.

There's not a better hunting video out there...now or ever. I can never again watch the garbage that is put out by commercial hunters on current videos. This is archery hunting, pure and simple. Hunting as it was with lessons that can be learned to this day. If you want to see how it was...or find out how you could do it yourself...watch these videos. I was so impressed that I make a point of showing the videos to fellow archers so they can see what true hunting looks like. You will not be disappointed with this historical journey of Bear Archery and the man that was Fred Bear. You might not walk with him, but you'll feel like he's sitting next to you the whole time.
