    I was quite surprised that this vidoe was so poor. they had some interesting scenes, but often use them several times, like the snake siking at the camera lens, to the extnt that it become boring to watch. It is not a hunting video, though it does have a few huting scenes. It is more like National Geographic of their bowhuntin spots. If you want scenery, then get this, if you want something interesting, don't.

          This DVD has wonderful videography, and music like the original "Primal Dreams". This one shows less hunting scenes, and harvests than the first. If you like more nature scenes than hunting/harvesting, this is the one for you. It does however, contain some very informative info that could help some hunters.

            This is a very well made DVD. I am so happy to finally watch a hunting dvd that is not constantly pushing a product down my throat. I would have given it 5 stars but there are very few harvests at all in the film. I wanted to see more arrows hitting game. I don't care about product placement, I just wanted more arrows in flight. With that said, I still feel this DVD is a must own for every bowhunter. It describes exactly why we are drawn to hunt, and does so with beautiful music and landscapes, they just could have added more arrows hitting game while the nice music was playing. A beautiful and touching film, I am very happy to own this product and will watch it happily multiple times a year to fill the void until hunting season rolls around again.

                          Essential Encounters in addition to its stunning HD wild woodland footage is packed full of good solid hunting tips and techniques. The hunting and kill scenes are done with respect. The bonus footage itself has more hunting and historical value than any bowhunting dvd ever made. VERY well done.

                            This video is a must see for hunters and non hunters alike. I truely was riveted through out. It stired me deeply, perhaps it was a combination of its music, values, and tradtion. This is how hunting films should be made. Superb!!!!!
