This is a good read and one that should be in any archer's library...especially if you're from Wisconsin. This is a story, not a "how to" book. It is a good read, not a good manual. It's history, Northwoods lore, and a fun little book about an archery forefather.

I would recommend this book, it is more about Art LaHa's life and how he grew up and got into bowhunting. If you are looking to learn more of this great legend "Art Laha" I would definitly read this. Also his movie "No land for the Timid" is now out on DVD.

This is a good, easy to read book, not so much about bowhunting, but more about Art LaHa's childhood and life. A great book for camp or at home on a cold winter's night. Art LaHa was a real man from the Greatest Generation, and this book covers the hardships and good times he and his family encountered.
