I enjoyed this book overall. It was simply written is just a bit self-aggrandizing. I did have issue with his overall ethics. He takes a lot of long shots at deer and misses quite a bit... I felt this was a little bit unethical. But... That's my opinion. I'm a long way from perfect but when I shoot I feel confident I can make a clean kill. His mention that he thinks a liver shout is a clean hit seems to go against what I was taught. A clean kill is a double lung and hopefully heart shot. Liver shots tend to be long tracks with a slow painfully death. Having said that every hunter I know had made a liver shot. You usually have to back out and find your deer in the am. Not the ideal situation.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
