I have been a Michigan traditional bowhunter for about 20 years, and I have tried a lot of different long underwear for freezing days. These Woolpower long johns are the best I have found. They don't feel tight or restrictive like some of the "expedition weight" polyester/spandex brands. They are lightweight and comfortable, yet very warm. I have worn them on two cold mornings in the woods so far, and have been very comfortable. I also wore them while salmon fishing, waist-deep in the river with blue-jeans and lightweight breathable waders, and they were great. Finally, this is a hand-made item. It has a tag that says "sewn in Sweden by Ingrid Jonsson".

I use this product hunting and fishing in the fall and early spring.They are warm, light, durable and very comfortable. I can find no downside to these wool garments made by Ullfrotte.

The weekend was wet, windy and just all around not the most productive. Yet, I was warm and comfortable. Just goes to show, sometimes old technology is the better choice.

This is by far the best "long"underwear I've used. I wear this next to the skin, it's light, no chafing, gets softer after washing, it doesn't absorb odors, or perspiration, really. My torture test was 6 days in a row without washing it and I could still stand myself. Though pricey, it's well made and should last a long time. I wear a 400 gram vest over the under layer for cold, inactive conditions and you don't need another shirt. A sweater or light vest and a windproof jacket and your good to go in cold windy conditions. Light and effective.I love this stuff!
