        Comments about Throwing Hawk:

I have two and one came with a very curved handle and the other has broken (the steel blade). This design is easy to forge and should be half the price to match the half-life this thing has. Easy to throw and stick but also has a nasty bounce back.

          Comments about Throwing Hawk:

I was really impressed with the quality of Steve K's Throwing Hawk. A bit lighter than I anticipated but perfectly balanced with great throwing characteristics. Took it to a public event immediately after purchasing and it got used and abused by kids and adults alike whos seemed to prefer it and "stick" it more frequently than our regular "demonstrationj" hawk. Later chopping firewood the hawk was more than up to the task, All-in-all I am really happy with this tomahawk!!

              Comments about Throwing Hawk:

This is the best throwing hawk I have ever used. The head is made to give a good sharp sticking point on point of contact. It is light as a feather and feels good in my hand. You can stick ten out of ten from one revolution or two revolutions without any trouble. I would recommend this hawk to anybody who enjoys throwing them.

                Comments about Throwing Hawk:

I recieved this hawk as a gift from my wife,(although I picked it out) I own several other hawks that I use for outdoor tasks, basically woodwork too big for my knife. This hawk arrived with a terrible grind to it, it was sharpened with a grinder/sander lengwise on the edge leaving large slivers of metal sticking out. The steel itself is very soft, chopping in hard wood dulls it Very fast as well as denting the edge when hitting knots. the handle on the one I received is less than one inch thick making it very hard to use. I do like the shape of the blade, but the handle and temper dont allow its potential to shine. The only good thing I can say for this hawk is that it does throw well. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a multipurpose tool to carry with them, there are much better options out there for half the price.

                  Comments about Throwing Hawk:

I never threw a hawk or knife before I got this thrower. Throws were easy to learn and much better for beginners than [...] model. The extra weight is the key. The handle will need to be replaced on mine eventually and the axehead needs to be re-positioned frequently to avoid slippage and fly-off. Very fun. Haven't hunted with it due to ethical issues with that sort of brutality. Decent for camp chores and light whittlin'. Get you one.
