    This is a great beginner bow. I have purchased a couple of them for my kids and can swap/order heavier limbs, giving them something that can grow with them. This bow is also drilled and tapped for all accessories, so you can mount them if you like. The grip is surprisingly well formed and is perfect for small hands. The only downside is the pastic limb cups - they seem a bit cheap and flimsy, however I have not had an issue with them so I can't really say it is a problem. I highly recommend checking out this bow as it is difficult to find "real" bows for kids (say ages 8 - 16). This one also has black limbs instead of the generic white ones, which is a nice bonus.

          Good quality for the price. It comes with a string and has mount points for a bolt-on sight and stabilizer rods. Nice wood handle. You'll need a stick-on arrow guide.

            This was a birthday gift for my oldest grandson. I was referred to Three Rivers Archery by a friend several years ago to inquire about some accessories for a homemade recurve bow that was acquired from a relative and how glad I am. I am pleased by the vast selection of items and information that is available. Peering online one day, I came across a deal to upgrade to a more suitable bow as my grandson matures. On the weekends he comes and if the weathers agreeable we shoot a few arrows at a target. We both like the sleek look and feel of the Firefox Takedown. I'm retired so when he gets out of school we'll have more time to enjoy outdoor recreation. This bow is perfect for him. Instructional videos,catalogs, and phone or online questions and answers- you'll find what you want and how to use their products. Quality sales and service!
