Not what I call a bow case

Comments about Youth Takedown Recurve Bow Case:

Most bow cases I have seen are made for bows. Most good breakdown bow cases have separate compartments for the limbs and riser, to keep them from banging together in transport. This is basically a bag of durable construction that is a good size for breakdown bows. It would be best to have something to cover your limbs and risers in this. There also is no pocket to keep the strings and bow stringers in.

        Basic nylon case-exactly as advertised

Comments about Youth Takedown Recurve Bow Case:

This is exactly as the product states. Its a basic takedown recurve bow case. The nylon case unzips on 3 sides, allowing one to open the case completely. Inside, there are 2 pockets, one for each limb (or, if it is a youth bow, and fits into the case, you can put accessories into the sleeves). The overall design is pretty rugged-its is heavier than I expected, for a lower priced bag. Mind you, this is NOT a hardcase-its not designed to protect the bow, but rather to simply transport. The case seems like it can take some abuse, but the bow inside could potentially suffer damage, if dropped. This easily hold my 62" Samick Sage takedown bow, an extra string, a stringer, my tab, and forearm protector, all with ease. As part of the complete package I bought, I really like that they include something of this quality with it.

Comments about Youth Takedown Recurve Bow Case:

The wife needed something simple to carry around her takedown recurve. I figured I'd get her this case to try out. It seems to work fine for carrying her 62" takedown recurve when it's pulled apart. The case itself is a padded soft case and sufficiently thick to protect what's inside from normal transportation and handling. There are two pockets inside that run the length of the case. One for your riser, the other for your limbs. The opening to the pockets also faces away from the side that opens up first with the zipper which is nice because if you're not paying attention when you first start unzipping it you could dump your riser and limbs out onto the ground, but not happening with this case. You'd have to have it all the way unzipped pretty much to get the parts out of the pockets.
The only thing that I'd like better is if the pockets inside were off-set so when you zipped the two halves of the case together to close it you didn't have to worry about the riser and limbs both pushing against each other. Even though they are in seperate pockets and there's two layers of fabric between them it's still hard on hard with no padding between them. Also, having the pockets off-set it would allow the case to conform to a thinner profile as it would only be as thick as either the limbs or the riser, and not both together. The pockets are big enough though that if you are careful, and you shake it around a bit after you have it lying flat, you can get them "unstacked" for a flatter transport.
Although, I will say, at least this case does have pockets that completely cover your riser and limbs. I have a more expensive case that's similiar to this one that doesn't have pockets or tie downs and isn't near as weather resistant.

Simple case. Construction seems decent. It has internal sleeves so the limbs don't knock around, which is a nice feature.
