    My son is 4 years old. He was always putting hangers in his pants and/or shirt; he would pull the hangers out and pretend to shoot arrows from his "bow"! We purchased a cheap bow & arrow kit from a local store. It literally broke within a few hours. We then went to our local sports store. They didn't have anything he could use, since he is so small. I finally located 3 Rivers Archery online and purchased this set. My son loves it! He can easily pull the string and it is just the right length for him. It is well made. I would certainly recommend this set to anyone with a young child. The suction cup arrows are good for kids who want to play inside or if you are concerned about safety, but my son was disappointed that they were not accurate. We ended up getting him a set of Angel Youth arrows and now he can hit a target very well.

    Inexpensive way to introduce young children to archery. My son is 2 3/4 years old and loves "his bow and arrows". A few of the arrows had nicks in the shafts which had been painted over. One of the rubber cups fell off right out of the package. The arrows will not snap onto the string, which makes it extremely hard for him to corectly hold the bow, pinch the arrow nock between his fingers and pull the string back while trying to focus on the target. A friend is going to put some string serving on to help with the arrows falling off. The paper target included is cute but for suction cup arrows, what's the point?

            the arrow nocks were not deep enough to seat into the string and stay there. an adult couldn't use this bow without modifying the arrows. also, install your own nockset. and arrows use plastic fletchings that will hit your riser. makes a big difference in low poundage bows.

            I bought this for my 3 yr. nephew for Christmas. He had become obsessed with bows and arrows after watching the movie Brave. Anyways, I really wasn't expecting much when I purchased this but all I've got to say is WOW.. This beginner child set is amazing. Not only is it durable but it's accurate. He doesn't go anywhere without it and its the only toy he plays with now. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future once he grows out of this one. Thank you.

            Okay, we bought this for our son (6 years old) as he really likes to see his Dad practice with his bows. It is a big hit; he loves it and plays with it daily. All is (was) great but now both his little sisters (5 and 4 years old) have to have one too. No sharing of turns here; they want to have their own. Good thing these sets are an outstanding value! (BTW, on drawing back her bow my youngest bent the plastic bow that is popular due to a movie about a red haired child and a bear ;) - wish it could be returned and that this set was at a local store; they hate the wait for delivery man!)

              The plastic tips of the arrows were bent when we received them. I thought they would unbend as time went on but it never did. My son still plays with it but it's not the quality I expected. It never sticks to the target or anywhere else.

                My 3.5 year old daughter loves this. Even my 6 year old can practice inside. It will shoot the wooden arrows if you want some outside practice but again it is not very powerful. Easy for the kids to draw back on their own. I had arrows flying across the living room and sticking to the windows last night.
