Not "hooked" on this one

I bought this for my 6 year old. He's been shooting glove/tabless for a while, but with the increase in draw weight recently, he's found his bare fingers couldn't keep up. I have one in the adult size and love it so I bought him the youth. I didn't begin to think that the leather fingertips would be to "hard". He couldn't get his fingers to hook the string - too stiff. Need to get some leather softener to help it along a lot faster. For a youth glove, I'd suggest to the manufacturer that they use a different material for the fingers for the youngsters. Made to last, yes, but kids grow fast so it wouldn't fit for very long anyway. How about one with a suede type material? This may be a great product as is for clubs where the glove will get continued use, one youth after another, but not for a singe youngster

                      I bought this for my 9 year old son to use, he hasn't used it too much yet, as he is fairly new to archery, and feels it has no purpose yet, but I'll wait for the first blisters to change his mind on that. The glove is well built and will grow some with him thanks to the elastic in the body of the glove.
