Comments about The Original Fred Bear Master Glove:

This is my favorite target glove, I never use a tab. I suspect that if I were shooting 50-75# in the woods that I might want something heavier and sturdy, I'm not - so I want light and thin enough I can feel my string. But, it's not so thin that my fingers suffer from the string. Since I shoot 3-fingers under, I don't have any string pinch to worry about - a split finger shooter might rather use a tab or heavy glove over this glove.

If you're shooting a target weight bow though, this is a nice, smooth finger wrapping that serves its purpose very well at the price.

Because it's a thinner leather, it takes less time to break in the crease too. A plus for a target shooter - maybe not so much for the heavy hunter weights.

I'd not recommend it for someone shooting 50#+ but on a lighter bow, for those who want to feel the string and still protect the fingers, it's very good.

Comments about The Original Fred Bear Master Glove:

Not a terrible Glove but definitely not what I expected. The photo on both the web site and in the catalog is somewhat misleading, the leather is stitch poorly and is very thin, am not expecting it to last very long. Would have spent a few bucks more on a better glove but since it was call the Fred Bear Masters glove I thought I wouldn't be disappointed. Will keep for a back-up in my hunting pack but will definitely be looking for something of better quality for daily shooting. Best lesson, you get what you pay for, should have known better with the price they had on it, still can't picture Fred in the woods with one of these on. Might have been his design but I'm sure not the quality he would have gone with.

    Service and delivery comments:

When I asked if they would help out for return freight because I was disappointed in quality they denied, however after I made a couple of comments they then came back with that they would pay return but I would have to pay to ship back out the better quality glove I should have went with. Not a very good return policy in my eyes. Could use improvement.

Comments about The Original Fred Bear Master Glove:

The leather is quite thin. I would not recommend this glove for 60# and up bows. I have a Martin Hunter in 60# and the only hang up I have right now is my release which is most likely affected by the glove. Hurts after about 20 shots. I am sure this glove would be fine for anyone with a lower poundage bow, or if you already have callouses on all three of your fingers.

Comments about The Original Fred Bear Master Glove:

I bought this glove out of sentimate towards Fred Bear, however I am glad I did as it feels, looks, and works wonderfully. I am still "breaking it in" as I don't shoot as often as I would like, but I feel it will feel just as natural on my hand as any shooting glove I've ever owned.

Comments about The Original Fred Bear Master Glove:

This glove is ok, but for the price, I think you can do better. It is well-constructed, but the leather is quite stiff, and only of average quality. I wear a medium in most other gloves, and the fingers on this one were tight enough that it was uncomfortable to wear for long.
