      The buffalo quiver is a great accessory for the buffalo bow. Four arrows is plenty to take to the stand due to the fact that often times, no arrows are released. I have found some drawbacks though. The quiver can't be left mounted to the riser and fit in the case that is provided with the buffalo bow. It also has a tendency to loosen after a few shots after being reinstalled. After you tighten it a couple of times, it seems to stay tight...unexplained phenomenon. I like to hike in to remote areas and camp and that's why I choose a take-down bow. I just keep a set of Allen wrenches with me and all problems are solved.

        This is not a good quiver. The hood is too narrow and shallow. The hood will only accommodate small, three-blade broad heads. Two blade broad heads extend beyond the top of the hood - definitely not for most traditional hunters. Without locktite, the quiver shakes loose every 30 arrows. If the quiver isn't coming loose from the bow, it is losing it's grip on my arrows- Beman Classics. It makes my bow appreciable louder and increases my hand vibration a lot.

        I'm not sure how this ended up as part of Fred Eichler's line of gear. The bow is one of the nicest I've ever shot, but this quiver is the worst piece of equipment I have purchased in the last five years.

        Not a Traditional Quiver

          Buffalo quiver is supposed to be for a traditional bow. There is no room for traditional (fixed blade) heads in the hood. Sharp traditional blades are exposed to fingers or others. Arrow slots on gripper are too close together for traditional fletched shafts. My 11/32 shafts are already sliding out of the gripper after 2 months use. Overall concept is great but details are poorly designed. Probably great on a compound.

            All in all this is a quality quiver. It fits snug & solid. However the hood needs to be much deeper to accomidate large broadheads, there is a safety factor when aprox 3/8" of my broad head sticks out. I would have give it 5 stars if it had a deeper hood.

              29 yrs hunting experience, with both recurve and compound Bows, (most brands). I am NOT kind to equipment. This is the answer! The fact is, If your burning one to three weeks a year In vacation time for that ONE SHOT....... you'll find it's worth every penny.
