As a new traditional archer, this series is a great source of information. It has helped my shooting already. The transition from compound to recurve is more challenging than I first expected but this seems to be helping out.

a christmas present from my wife .Pay particular attention to Rod Jenkins explanation of arrow trajectory and how he aims , i tried it and saw an immediate improvement in my shooting . Thanks to all in the dvd and three rivers.

I've watched this set multiple times. Tons of information for anyone who may be starting out in traditional archery, or even those who have been at it for years. Covers a wide variety of material regarding shooting, aiming techniques, equipment, set-up, etc. Don't bother buying the individual discs, get the whole set, they're all worth watching a few times.

Overall I really enjoyed this Dvd set. I wished they would have gone just a little more in depth with instruction on each method. And would have shown more shooting footage. Gives the viewer insight as to what aiming methods are available to shoot barebow and enough instruction in each to get started. Can really a help novice discover what may suit him/her best and even great for intermediate shooters for form training. Also shot in laid back manner which makes it fun to watch.

This is a wonderful package of instruction for archers of all levels. The first DVD is simply an introduction to different styles of traditional archery. Each following DVD offers more detailed, specific, and more advanced instruction. I have watched each DVD several times, and each time I learn something new. With this package of DVDs I feel like I have a private tutor that will help me become a skilled target shooter and hunter.

Being new to 'Trad', one thing I have learned is that although you meet some really great people, a lot of clubs can be very rigid in how they will allow you to shoot.
Rather than offering a range of shooting techniques, sometimes your instruction is limited to the way your coach was taught only (Realistically you can't expect a coach to be well versed in multiple shooting styles).
This DVD set truly opens your eyes to a wide range of traditional shooting techniques that may be better suited to an individuals 'most natural or harmonic' shooting style. Along with that, there is a wealth of other small tips provided throughout the series provided by some very unique & SKILLED masters.
Although I will still have to shoot split finger 'instinctive' at the club, the series has really opened my eyes to 3under & string walking styles that seem more natural to me, so that is what I will be practicing at with my home target block & out roving.
I thoroughly recommend this series to all Trad archers & feel anyone who watches it will learn at least one technique that will improve their shooting. I certainly feel that in a few short weeks it has improved my accuracy & is helping me develop a more comfortable & natural form better suited to me...
That form may not be suitable for clubs or competition, but Hunting, roving & just having fun are where my love lies anyway. For the price, the 4vol set represents excellent value for yourself or someone you know who enjoys traditional archery.
